CRESCO-IO
==============

To transfer data to and from CRESCO, it is necessary to use the dedicated node:

   cresco-io.portici.enea.it

This system also allows access from external networks.

.. note::

   Data transfer is allowed only through this node (not directly to compute or login nodes).

The available commands for data transfer are:

EXAMPLES
---------

SCP
~~~~~

Upload a directory or file from local machine to cluster:

.. code-block:: bash

   scp file username@cresco-io.portici.enea.it:/path/destination/

Download a directory or file from cluster to local machine:

.. code-block:: bash

   scp username@cresco-io.portici.enea.it:/path/file .

Moving file from cluster to another cluster:

.. code-block:: bash

   scp file username@<cluster_name>:/path/file


SFTP
~~~~~~

Interactive mode:

.. code-block:: bash

   sftp username@cresco-io.portici.enea.it

   put file      # upload
   get file      # download
   ls                # list files
   cd directory      # change remote directory

RSYNC
~~~~~~~

Upload a directory or file from local machine to cluster:

.. code-block:: bash

   rsync -avz folder/ username@cresco-io.portici.enea.it:/path/destination/

Download a directory or file from cluster to local machine:

.. code-block:: bash

   rsync -avz username@cresco-io.portici.enea.it:/path/folder/ .

Moving file from cluster to another cluster:

.. code-block:: bash

   rsync file username@<cluster_name>:/path/file

RCLONE
~~~~~~~

Upload a directory or file from local machine to cluster:

   rclone copy file username@cresco-io.portici.enea.it:/path/
