Software ========= Software via modules --------------------------------- Some software is available on the different clusters via modules. You can run the following command on the relevant cluster to list all available software: .. code-block:: bash module avail The CRESCO8 and XCRESCO clusters offer customized profiles to expand the list of available software: .. list-table:: :header-rows: 1 :align: center * - CLUSTER - PROFILES * - CRESCO8 - profile/DTT * - XCRESCO - profile/archive * - XCRESCO - profile/candidate * - XCRESCO - profile/deeplrn * - XCRESCO - profile/phys * - XCRESCO - profile/advanced * - XCRESCO - profile/chem * - XCRESCO - profile/lifesc To load a specific profile, you can use this command: .. code-block:: bash module load .. note:: For further information on the modules, you can consult the following `page `_. Launcher procedure -------------------- Some software packages are started through the launcher and require a dedicated startup procedure to properly configure the environment and launch the application. Detailed startup instructions for these packages are provided in the sections below. .. tabs:: .. tab:: ECLIPSE **Path** .. code-block:: bash /afs/enea.it/software/eclipse/cat10x6x1/eclipse **Launcher command** .. code-block:: bash ./eclipse .. tab:: MATLAB **Launcher command** .. code-block:: bash [user@cresco8x001]$ matlab .. tab:: XCRYSDEN **Path** .. code-block:: bash /afs/enea.it/software/xcrysden/bin **Launcher command** .. code-block:: bash ./xcrysden Licensed software -------------------------------------- Some software packages (Comsol and Ansys) available on ENEA GRID are distributed under commercial or restricted licenses. Access to specific applications is restricted to authorized user groups. As a result, the use of certain software is not automatically available to all users. Restrictions are generally applied to commercial applications or to software whose licensing terms require controlled access. Users can verify whether they are authorized to use a specific application by running: .. code-block:: bash pts membership $USER and checking whether their account belongs to the group: .. code-block:: text   projadmin:por-licenses- where ```` identifies the licensed software package. Authorization Request Procedure ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Users who require access to a licensed software package must submit a request through the `ENEA GRID Ticketing System `_. The request should include: * The applicant's ENEA unit or affiliated institution. * A brief description of the collaboration with ENEA, if applicable, and the reason for requiring access to the software. * The research area or project in which the software will be used. * The name of the software package(s) being requested. .. note:: Authorization is granted on a per-software basis. Approval to use one licensed application does **not** automatically grant access to other restricted software packages. A separate request must be submitted for each application requiring authorization.
